This project presents Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping (TEM) for the Joe Rich area, east of the city of Kelowna. A Sensitive Ecosystems Inventory theme was derived from the TEM mapcodes. The study area covers portions of mapsheets 082E084, 082E085, 082E094 and 082E095 and falls within one biogeoclimatic unit, the Shuswap Moist Warm Interior Douglas-fir (IDFmw1) variant, and the Northern Okanagan Highlands (NOH) Ecosection. Mapping was completed at 1:20 000 scale, following the Standard for Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping in BC, 1998. Field sampling was completed in 2006 at survey intensity level 4.
