Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping (1:5000 scale) of Jedediah Island covered an area approximately 243 ha. The study area is located in the Sabine Channel in the Strait of Georgia, 80 kilometres west of Vancouver between Texada and Lasqueti Islands and includes three small surrounding islands, Circle, Sheer and Paul Islands. Information provided describes the study area, methods and results.

This project was completed in accordance with the 1998 Standard for Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping in B.C. and the 1998 Standard for Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping Digital Data Capture. The project files available include a project report, expanded legend, map legend, non-spatial polygon attribute database, ArcInfo spatial data, and wildlife data. The study area partially covers the following TRIM mapsheets: 092F.049, 059, 050, and 060. The study area is situated in the Strait of Georgia (SOG) Ecosection and includes the Coastal Douglas Fir moist maritime (CDFmm) Biogeoclimatic subzone. Habitat suitability mapping were done for the following species: Black-tailed Deer (Odocoileus hemionus columbianus), Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus), Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) and Pelagic Cormorant (Phalacrocorax pelagicus).
