Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping (1:20,000 scale) with Wildlife Interpretations was done of for the Hope IFPA. The study area is located near the municipality of Hope.

This project was completed in accordance with the 1998 Standard for Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping in B.C. and the 1998 Standard for Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping Digital Data Capture. The project files include a map legend, non-spatial polygon attribute databases, ArcInfo spatial data and a quality assurance report. The study area completely or partially covers the following mapsheets: 092H003, 092H004, 092H012 - 092H016, 092H022 - 092H026, 092H032 - 092H035, 092H043, 092H044, 092H053, 092H054, 092H063, 092H064. It is situated in the Eastern Pacific Ranges (EPR) and Leeward Pacific Ranges (LPR) ecosections and includes the following biogeoclimatic units: the Dry Maritime Coastal Western Hemlock Subzone (CWHdm), the Southern Dry Submaritime Coastal Western Hemlock Variant (CWHds1), the Southern Moist Submaritime Coastal Western Hemlock Variant (CWHms1), the Leeward Moist Maritime Mountain Hemlock Variant (MHmm2), the Parkland Leeward Moist Maritime Mountain Hemlock Variant (MHmm2p), the Moist Warm Engelmann Spruce - Subalpine Fir Subzone (ESSFmw), the Parkland Moist Warm Engelmann Spruce - Subalpine Fir Subzone (ESSFmwp), and the Alpine Tundra zone (AT). As well, Wildlife Habitat Ratings (WHR) were developed for the Black-tailed Deer (Odocoileus hemionus).
