Abstract: This report provides a comprehensive review and evaluation of moose conservation and harvest management in central and northern British Columbia, within the context of the Wildlife Harvest Strategy. Ten harvest management principles are proposed as guidelines for moose harvest management. Previous moose managment objectives are briefly reviewed, and five objectives are proposed. Moose harvest strategies were reviewd by Game Managment Zones (GMZs) and administrative regions: Cariboo Region, skeena Region, Omineca Sub-region, and Peace-Liard Sub-region.
