The objective of this study was to investigate and define the relationship between meteorological conditions and slope failure occurrences in the Queen Charlotte Islands. It provides a method to evaluate when critical soil moisture-precipitation conditions are reached, and when forest harvesting activities in steep areas should be stopped to prevent failures at sensitive sites.
