Abstract: In order to help identify the possible causes of low seed set in containerized interior spruce two studies were conducted aimed at two stages in the reproductive cycle. The first study is designed to observe and examine the effects of forcing on pollen development and fertilizing potential (prefertilization factors). The second study is to determine the effect of three different temperatures at pollination on cone abortion and final seed efficiency.
