The Research Extension Program will facilitate the knowledge development, synthesis, transfer, and application of FII funded forestry research. Research results and innovations linked to Sustainable Forest Management goals, will be communicated and made available to forest management practitioners throughout the Province in a way that will enable them to apply what they learn to their local situation. The extension program run by FORREX will help British Columbia achieve: an internationally competitive science-based forest sector; innovative knowledge based forest policies, regulations, and practices; and sustainable forest resources, environment, and communities.
