The Species at Risk Project is the production of a database of the Species at Risk (SAR) that occur in the Lillooet TSA by BEC variant. The Beta version developed in 2005-06 primarily by Tolko Industries, Heffley Cr Division, permits users to query detailed SAR information if necessary, but primarily to be able to produce field cards for each BEC variant. The field cards summarize retention features only necessary at the stand level, and do not require specific species information. It is expected that information gaps will be addressed each year to maintain current information relevant to the Lillooet TSA within the SAR database.
The Lillooet TSA is one of four TSAs currently entered into the SAR database. Costs will be shared across 3 TSAs (Kamloops, Okanagan, and Lillooet) for the 2006-07 fiscal year. The Beta version of the SAR database (released in 2005-06) will be upgraded to Version 1.0, by applying edits and obtaining feedback from users.
