Nimpkish River watershed: instream fertilization, 2002 Hansen, Loreta

Abstract: The year 2002 was the second season of nutrient addition to enhance primary production in the Nimpkish River, Davie River, Sebalhall Creek, and Cain Creek. Drip stations added a mix or inorganic 10-34-0 and 28-0-0 (2:1). The total loading of liquid fertilizer, over a period of approximately 40 days was as follows: Cain Creek - 118 L, Davie River (bridge) - 230 L, Sebalhall Creek - 115 L (est.), Duncan Pool (Nimpkish mainstem) - 465 L, and the Powerline crossing (Nimpkish mainstem) - 694 L. The total load was 1622 L for all sites. Water samples were collected, on August 13 and September 3, 2002, and sent to PSC Analytical Services in Burnaby for analysis.
