Abstract: As part of Weyerhaeuser Canada Ltd's commitment to the Forest Investment Account's Instream Restoration Program, all previously completed sites on Louise Island, Haida Gwaii require routine effectiveness evaluation (REE). Monitoring at these sites was conducted in 2001, 2002, and 2003; however, the data have not been published in a formal report to date. This report presents the results of the June/July 2003 Routine Effectiveness Evaluation (REE) of five sites that were scheduled for monitoring in 2001 and 2002. Results of the monitoring indicate that 98% of the 134 structures and sites are meeting the physical objectives, and 96% are meeting the biological objectives. Maintenance to protect investment is required on 1% (2 of 134) of the individual structures that were evaluated and 16% (22 of 134) could use non-mandatory maintenance to improve their performance.
