Abstract: This site was identified during a Watershed Assessment, Channel Assessment, and subsequent Riparian Assessment between 1997 and 2001. A preliminary riparian/bank stabilization prescription was prepared in 2001. Using the preliminary prescription a final prescription was developed and implemented in October 2003. This site was first identified in 1997 as a sediment source to Derry and Wap Creeks as a result of lost riparian function. Continued pressure on the site during spring freshets would not allow this site to recover naturally within a reasonable time frame.
