Hemlock dwarf mistletoe greatly reduces silvicultural options on the coast of BC, and hence there is a pressing need for alternate approaches to its control. Vigorous hemlock dwarf mistletoe infections will be sprayed with variously formulated spore suspension of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Neonectria neomacrospora. The effect on mistletoe shoot and seed production as well as mortality will be followed for a year. This will determine whether either or both of these agents have significant potential as biological control agents of dwarf mistletoe. B.J. van der Kamp, S. Shamoun.
