Abstract: CanFor's overall objective is to determine the efficacy of its forest management practices on maintaining biological richness. This will involve monitoring elements beyond the scope of this project. Specifically, the objectives of this effectiveness monitoring initiative are: ·Design a cost-effective landscape-level conservation effectiveness monitoring program for breeding songbirds in TFL 30. ·Identify point count survey stations and roadside transects for monitoring of songbird species during the breeding season (11 May and 5 July). ·Map location of survey stations and roadside transects. ·Develop provisions of information for a 'tendering package' for effectiveness monitoring implementation (Spring of 2006).
