M.C. Wright and Associates was hired in 2006 to produce a prescription outlining the design and procedures to build a 180m long channel extension off the existing habitat on T106 on the Taylor Mainline. (Refer to the completed report titled, South Taylor Mainline T106 Channel Expansion). The project received approval from the Land Based Investment Program of the Forest Investment Account (FIA) to conduct prescribed restoration works in the fall of 2006. Special permission was granted from Fisheries and Oceans to perform the works outside the Fisheries Window. On Oct 30, 2006 restoration works commenced. The following report details the works completed during the 2006 season.
