The objectives of the prescribed work is to reduce and minimize sediment flow in stream 3 within opening 673409 from the 2002 slide terminus and debris fan created by the slide. A loc block berm was also placed downstream of opening 673409 and below other tributaries to stream 3 to monitor sediment flow below the bridge and towards Cheewaht Lake. The works in stream 3 at these locations is classified as an S5 stream. Cheewaht Lake is not a community watershed but important to fish habitat.
