This is a cooperative project between DFO, MoTH and Teal Cedar. The project is to develop a relic side channel, tributary to Harris Creek, into overwintering habitat for juvenile salmonids based on site design work completed by DFO. Work planned for this year includes: Access development - funded by MoTH, RP to be assumed by Teal) and Excavation of channels and ponds - funded through Teal's FIA program. Previous work funded at this site under Teal's FIA program includes a detailed channel alignment survey, completed in fiscal 2003/2004 under PP# 6208012, and test pitting done in 2004/2005 under PP#6363005.
