The objective of the project is to create a suite of indicator maps that spatially identify and quantify the current status of the indicators and associated measures as identified in the SFM Framework in the NHLB and THLB across the Mackenzie DFA. The development of the indicator maps and associated reporting will allow for a thorough assessment of the utility of the indicators as measures of sustainability as well as a planning tool in the development of current and future operational plans. This information can also be used to help determine which indicators should be a management priority based on the indicator location and current development plans, and where in the Mackenzie DFA that signatories to the SFM Plan will need to implement best management practices.
