2008

Abstract: This project will complete the remainder of the Lillooet TSA SS Type 2 analysis, phases 8 through 15, and the MOE requests for information that were not completed in 06/07. This project is designed to identify and support strategic silviculture activities and investments that are practical and effective in mitigating timber supply and habitat objectives. It is intended to build on and integrate the Mountain Pine Beetle Impact model completed by Marvin Eng of the Ministry of Forests; The Lillooet TSA Type 1 Silviculture Strategy being completed by Forsite Consultants. Consultation with licensees and First Nations will also be essential. In addition to projections of financial, timber and habitat returns of silviculture investments, this project must provide spatially explicit mapping of retention and treatment areas for a variety of activities. This project will develop a five-year investment strategy and operating plan for FFT, FIA, FII and other funding mechanisms for the 2007/08 through 2011/12 fiscal years.
