Abstract: The Bonanza Lake study area has an extensive history of forestry harvesting activities, dating back to the early 1940?s around Beaver Cove and Telegraph Cove. Harvest development progressed up the Tsultan River and Lower Kokish River watersheds, first by trains and later logging truck. Extensive road systems were built on the Upper Kokish River and Lower Bonanza Lake area by the early 1950?s. Continued harvesting development has created road networks within all major landforms, drainages and watersheds: Bonanza Creek and Lake, Kaikash Creek, Kinman Creek, Kokish River, Steel Creek and Tsultan River.
