Roads treated as part of this project were determined through overview analysis to be moderate or higher risk with respect to resources at stake. Priority roads were constructed between 1980 and 1995. Permanent deactivation was prescribed to address the issues in all cases on 7.0 km of non-status road. Hazards included failed or failing road prisms and drainage structures, uncontrolled drainage, and erosion, generally. Several landslides had occurred off roads QC128 and 128G with impact
on tributary channels. Portions of roads QC128, 128G, and 128G9 are located on Class IV and V terrain. No prior work of a similar nature had been done on any road in this project.
