In 1995, the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks began a multi-year study of the Fraser River white sturgeon aimed at defining their status and characteristics. This report presents findings from the second year (1996) of studies in Region 3 (Thompson-Nicola) and provides comparisons with data obtained from the initial phase of the program in 1995. Information on sturgeon growth, size, habitat, reproductive development, and movements is presented.
