In 1995, the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks began a multi-year study of the Fraser River white sturgeon aimed at defining their status and characteristics. This report presents findings from the second year (1997) of studies in Region 5 (Cariboo-Chilcotin). Information on sturgeon growth, distribution, habitat, movements, population size, reproductive development, and sex ratio is presented.
