This report focusses on the management of winter ranges for mountain caribou, an ecotype of woodland caribou (Rangifer tarandus caribou), and it describes an approach to habitat management that has the potential to maintain the structural qualities that allow caribou to use the entire winter range area to forage and to avoid predators.
