In the summer and fall of 1976, 38 tributaries to upper Okanagan Basin lakes were investigated to determine production capability and enhancement potential for rainbow trout and kokanee. Terms of reference for this undertaking were to (1) produce a priority listing of streams considered important in production and recruitment of trout and kokanee to fisheries of Okanagan, Swan and Kalamalka lakes; and (2) identify specific or generic enhancement techniques and protection requirements considered appropriate to each tributary in view of apparent land and water alienations. Investigations were largely guided by an earlier Fish and Wildlife Branch manuscript report ... and by the Main Report of the Okanagan Basin Consultative Board ...
