The South Okanagan Conservation Strategy has been developed in association with two major projects, The Nature Trust of British Columbia’s South Okanagan Critical Areas Program (SOCAP), and the B. C. Ministry of Environment’s Habitat Conservation Fund (HCF) Okanagan Endangered Species program. The main goal of this document is to merge the efforts of these two projects, with the input of other resource agencies and land users where appropriate, in order to develop and prioritize management activities for the conservation of natural habitat and its unique flora and fauna in the South Okanagan over the five-year period from April 1990 to March 1995.
