Grazing policies and practices are extremely important to wildlife management in British Columbia and the Fish and Wildlife Branch therefore welcomes the opportunity to appear before this committee. It would be impractical, however, to attempt to cover the entire spectrum of grazing-wildlife management relationships here, but at the same time we feel that it is important to document the most important factors. Therefore we have divided our brief into two sections: first, a précis which we intend to present today; and, second, a number of appendices which document the various points offered in the précis. We recommend the appendices as a source of detailed information for those interested in particular facets of the grazing-wildlife problem
