Abstract: Canadian wildlife resources are highly valuable to the nation. The 15.5 million people (84% of the Canadian population) who participate in wildlife-related recreational activities in a given year receive benefits that they declare to be worth $800 million annually. The annual enjoyment provided to those participants is equivalent to a capitalized economic value of $7.8 billion.
