Abstract: The purpose of this project was to produce a wildlife suitability map, accompanied by a short report, of the corridor along the Blackwater River, which has been proposed as a Heritage Trail under the Canada-British Columbia Agreement for Recreation and Conservation on the Alexander Mackenzie Heritage Trail. The suitability map is derived from the information contained in the report entitled Habitat Survey of the Mackenzie Heritage Tail Corridor (Hignett 1987). The wildlife species evaluated for suitability include caribou, moose, mule deer and bear (black/grizzly).
