This plan outlines the course of action for moose management within British Columbia from 1990 to 1995. First the management philosophy of the Wildlife Program is described. Next, the major economic, social and biological factors that have been considered in developing the provincial moose plan are reviewed. Habitat and population management are briefly discussed. The major objectives for moose management are indicated, and the Provincial Moose Management Program's goals over the next five years are outlined. Strategies are proposed to deal with each issue, and the management priorities are noted. The total financial strategies are indicated. Finally, the plan provides some detailed information on moose ecology and management directions within specific areas of the province.
