This working plan describes the study areas, design, and methods used to assess population responses of caribou, moose, and mountain sheep to reduced levels of wolf predation, for the period 1984-1987. Ungulates will be monitored by aerial surveys to detect changes in numbers and in proportions of young animals to adult females, both in an area where wolves are removed and where they are left undisturbed.
