A comprehensive land use plan has been developed to create a secure future for the economy and environment of the East Kootenay region. This plan has been largely developed by the East Kootenay negotiation table, representing a full range of interests. The Commission on resources and Environment (CORE) has finalized the Plan, based on the work of the table, and is recommending its implementation by the B.C. government.
