Abstract: As part of an overall strategy to develop opportunities to observe wildlife in their natural habitat, the British Columbia Ministry of Environment, in cooperation with the Ministry of Parks and the provincial Wildlife Viewing Program, has identified the Lower Mainland Region as an administrative region for which a regional wildlife viewing development plan will be prepared. The five year regional plan will provide direction to the above ministries in effectively organizing and implementing wildlife viewing activities throughout the sub-region, and in communicating to the public the benefits, opportunities, costs and problems associated with wildlife viewing in British Columbia. This report contains the wildlife viewing resource inventory for the Lower Mainland Region. Given the volume of site specific wildlife viewing information gathered for the this region, this seperate report has been produced, containing all of the detailed site specific information. A brief summary of the site information is also included in an appendix of the regional plan "Lower Mainland Region Wildlife Viewing Development Plan" (Mol, 1993).
