The Coquitlam River was chosen as one of the sites for release of hatchery reared smolts at which this important evaluation program could be carried out. In the spring of 1957 and in subsequent years, steelhead smolts were released on assurance that comprehensive creel census records would be gathered and submitted by the Port Coquitlam and District Hunting and Fishing Club. Excellent support for this program was given by the Club and without this co-operation the experiment would not have been feasible. This report is an analysis of the data gathered to date.
