The National Emissions Inventory and Projections Task Group (NEIPTG) of the NAICC is made up of emissions inventory, forecasting and backcasting experts and practitioners from all of the provinces, territories, and the federal government. In support of the NEIPTG, the Air Resources Branch of BC Environment is responsible for estimating emissions from all sources in British Columbia (BC) that are not within the Lower Fraser Valley (LFV). For inventory purposes, sources covered by an emissions inventory can be broadly divied into permitted, area, and mobile sources. The contract considers permitted sources only.
