Schedules 4 through 7 of the Contaminated Sites Regulation provide numerical concentration environmental quality standards for a large number of individual substances. These schedules, although extensive, do not include all substances which may be of toxicological concern in soil or water at a site or in soil to be relocated from a site. For use in the determination of site status as a contaminated site, assessment ofsatisfactory remediation of soil and water at a contaminated site and evaluation of soil quality to be relocated from a contaminated site, under the Contaminated Sites Regulation, the Director has established soil and water quality standards for the regulation of nonscheduled toxic substances. These Director's standards have the same legal standing as the numerical soil standards of Schedules 4, 5 and 7; and the numerical water standards of Schedule 6 of the Contaminated Sites Regulation.
