Waste Management decisions affecting the Fraser River have been hampered by an insufficient data base. To rectify this deficiency, water quality was monitored from September 1981 through November 1982 at surface and mid-depth for three cross-river sampling locations near the Pattullo Bridge in New Westminster. Metal, nutrient, bacteriological, and physical parameters were measured, and the results were correlated with seasonal changes in climate and Fraser River discharge volume.
