This study was undertaken to confirm results obtained by F.F. Slaney and Company Limited in a March 1972 study - "Limnology of Langford Lake, Victoria, BC". They found unusually high concentrations of lead in the livers of sunfish, Lepomis, gibbosus. In an attempt to determine the source of pollution and the extent of the phanomenon, tissue samples from different areas of the lake have been collected and analysed for lead and other heavy metals.
