The Summary Report of the Water Quality Work Group for the Fraser River Estuary Study recommended a one-year study programme "to characterize stormwater, and to estimate more accurately its contribution to contaminant loadings to the river. At least three catchment areas would be selected, which are typical of industrial, commercial, and residential districts in the area."
