Abstract: Any technician servicing or retrofitting a motor vehicle air conditioning (MVAC) system containing an ozone-depleting substance (ODS), must be qualified in the appropriate sector. The technician must also have successfully completed the government-approved ODs Environmental Awareness Course, and an MVAC course. After doing this, the technician will be designated an "approvedperson" under the Ozone Depleting Substances and Other Halocarbons Regulation.
