It is recognized that valid air analysis results will depend not only upon accurate analytical procedures but also upon well defined sampling procedures. This first edition of "A Manual of Field Procedures for Integrated Ambient Air Sampling" describes selected ambient air sampling procedures; a companion manual entitled, "A Laboratory Manual for the Chemical Analysis of Ambient Air, Emissions, Soils and Vegetation" describes the complementary analytical procedures. "A Manual of Field Procedures for Integrated Ambient Air Sampling" has been prepared to consolidate integrated ambient air sampling methods into a single volume and to provide sampling documentation which complements the analytical methods specified in Environmental Laboratory Air Quality Reports.
