1993

Abstract: BC?s municipal solid and biomedical wastes problems need to be corrected quickly. This report is meant to support this goal by examining the province?s Municipal Waste Management Strategy. New partnerships are identified as a key area for exploration in meeting identified targets in waste reduction. Also public programs, such as 3R (Reduce, Recycle, Reuse) initiatives are discussed. Ambitious waste management goals have already been set, and this document discusses these goals as well as how the province might improve upon these for the future.
