Abstract |
In 1996, the Pesticide Management Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks requested a hazard evaluation of pesticide use in British Columbia. The purpose was to reduce reliance on pesticides through the promotion of integrated pest management strategies. Consequently, Royal Roads Pesticide Consultants was formed to research and prepare a report for ranking pesticide active ingredients according to their degree of hazard. The main objective of the study was to provide an understanding of the various pathway mechanisms that a pesticide active ingredient may follow in the environment, and its associated effects on living organisms. | ||||||
