Author

Abstract
NOTE - A revised version of this report was published in 1997. This report documents the 24-year growth response of a Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb) Franco) stand to thinning and urea fertilization. The stand is on a poor site (site index 25 m) and was 24 years old at the time of the initial treatments in 1971, with an average density of 3947 stems per hectare. The average tree was 7.6 cm in diameter and 8.6 m in height. Growth responses were analyzed on a per-hectare, individual tree, crop-tree, and tree-size class basis.
