Abstract
What's so special about special wastes? This is a group of wastes that are potentially hazardous to human health and the environment and which require special care during handling and disposal. Special management techniques are needed to eliminate or reduce the hazards. In short, special wastes are those materials which should not be sent to ordinary landfills or discharged into our sewer systems.
