You can search for Plants & Animals or Ecological Communities. Start by clicking on the appropriate tab.

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

For the best performance of BC Species and Ecosystems Explorer, use the following guidelines:

Browser

Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer
Firefox 1.6 or newer
JavaScript 1.2 or newer
Adobe Acrobat® Reader (required to view some documents)

Screen Resolution

A minimum of 800 x 600 pixels

Cookies

Your browser is required to accept cookies in order to execute data searches.

Troubleshooting

If you have problems executing searches or viewing data, try the following:

1. Select Help...About on your Internet browser.

• Check that your browser version number is at least as high as the recommended version number.
• Check that your JavaScript version number is at least as high as the recommended version number.

If your browser or JavaScript version is older than recommended, you will need to download a newer browser.

2. Select Edit...Preferences on your Internet browser.

• Make sure that JavaScript is activated.
• Make sure that your browser will accept cookies.

If you continue to be unable to perform a query, your browser may not be functioning properly and you may need to download a new version of your browser.
