The Biogeoclimatic units found in the HEL ecosection includes the Central Variant of the Coastal Western Hemlock Very Wet Hypermaritime subzone (CWHvh2) and the Windward Variant of the Mountain Hemlock Wet Hypermaritime subzone (MHwh1). Biogeoclimatic units found in the KIR ecosection include the Submontane Variant of the Coastal Western Hemlock Very Wet Maritime subzone (CWHvm1), Montane Variant of the Coastal Western Hemlock Very Wet Maritime subzone (CWHvm2), and the Windward Variant of the Mountain Hemlock Moist Maritime subzone (MHmm1). Wildlife Capability and Suitability Ratings were developed for the following species Black bear (Ursus americanus), Black-tailed deer (Odocoileus hemionus), Mountain Goat (Oreamnos americanus), Marten (Oreamnos americanus), Keen's Long-eared Myotis (Myotis keenii), Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucoephalus), Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias), Sandhill Crane (Grus canadensis), Northern Goshawk (Accipiter gentilis), Marbled Murrelet (Brachyramphus marmoratus), and Tailed Frog (Ascaphus truei).
