Radio tagging studies were carried out in the Skeena drainage in order to more fully understand the life history of summer run steelhead trout.
This study was initiated due to the rapid decline of steelhead in the region. The pressure on steelhead stock came from habitat degradation, commercial and sport fisheries. The report was conducted in the hope(s) of better understanding the life history of summer steelhead in the Skeena region.
