This report describes a steel head trout tagging project carried out on Pallant Creek, Queen Charlotte Islands, during the winter of 1983-84.

Author:  A.D. de Leeuw

Date Published:  Nov 1985

Report ID:  43430

Audience:  Government and Public

In an attempt to document steelhead population on changes over the long term, it is hoped steelhead tagging will be continued for several years, thus establishing Pallant Creek as an adult steelhead index stream for the Queen Charlotte Islands. The small drainage basin area, the angler accessibility, all contribute to make Pallant Creek highly suitable for long term investigations of steel head.
