The sites surveyed ranged from 48 meters to 543 m elevation, with an average of 270 m. The average pH of wetlands that contained egg masses was 6.2, ranging between 5.2 and 7.7. Water temperatures at confirmed Red-legged Frog breeding sites averaged 9.8 degrees Celsius and ranged from a low of 5.7 degrees on March 30th 2010, to a high of 17 degrees on April 17th 2010. Water depths ranged from 0.5 m in the small, shallow water wetlands to greater than 20 m in the larger lakes.
