WSP Canada Inc. was retained by the Province of British Columbia to conduct hydrogeological mapping and analysis in the Bertrand Creek and Fishtrap Creek watersheds in the southern parts of the Township of Langley and the City of Abbotsford. The purpose of the study was develop a conceptual model of the aquifers, update the boundaries and characteristics of previously mapped aquifers, identify and characterize new aquifers, summarize existing water supply systems and their source aquifers, determine groundwater levels/trends and the groundwater flow directions, and discuss the inferred hydraulic connections between confined aquifers, unconfined aquifers and surface water.
